Frank Gombos passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his home in Boyne City, Mich.

Born in Lyndora, July 15, 1920, he was the youngest and last surviving of the 14 children of the late Michael and Julia Gombos.

He relocated to Southgate, Mich., in the early 1940s and was employed at Great Lakes Steel in Ecorse, Mich., for more than 40 years. In 2006 he moved to Boyne City.

Frank was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Zima) Gombos, who he married in 1943; and loving father of Frank (Susan), Patricia and Mary (Tim) Deneau. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
