Clayton R. Floyd, 16, of Prospect passed away unexpectedly Tuesday.

Born June 20, 1994, in Stahl-stown, Westmoreland County, he was the son of Carl and Sherron (Moore) Floyd of Prospect.

Clayton was a junior at Slippery Rock High School, where he was editor of the school's newspaper, The Hi-Rocket.

He loved music, especially drumming, and he had been a drummer in the Praise Band at the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church and the Christ Community United Methodist Church, where he also enjoyed volunteering in the nursery.

Clayton brought a light into the life of everyone he touched.

In addition to his parents, he also is survived by his brother, Logan Floyd; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Moore of Zelienople; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

<B>FLOYD </B>— There will be no visitation. A memorial service for Clayton R. Floyd, who died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations in Clayton’s memory may be made to VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Attn: Deniece Dykes, 1515 Broadway, 20th Floor, New York, NY 10036.Arrangements have been entrusted to <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, Zelienople.
