Dwight O. Johnston
Dwight O. Johnston passed away peacefully Friday after a long battle with a terminal illness.
He was born July 4, 1934, to Carl and Myrtle (Powell) Johnston.
Dwight was a survivor of several types of cancer, had high spirits, kept a smile on his face and made others laugh, despite his hurdles in life. His memory will live on with the lighthearted spirits of his family members.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 54 years, Della (Greenert) Johnston, with whom he had four children, Karen (Millard) Harkless, Barbara Johnston, Dwight David (Helen) Johnston, and Teresa (Jeffrey) Royer. He has six grandchildren, Jennifer Tomanio, Misty Johnston, Patrick Tomanio, Brittiny Johnston, Heather Johnston and Rain Royer, and three step-grandchildren. He also enjoyed having five great-grandchildren, with more on the way. He also is survived by his brothers, Harold (Dean) Johnston and Ellis (Patricia) Johnston, and a sister, Donna (Bernard) Schrecengost; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
<B>JOHNSTON</B> — Friends of Dwight O. Johnston, who died Friday, May 6, 2011, will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Mark S.
