George W. Reissig
George W. Reissig, 82, of Sarver died Monday.
Born Sept. 9, 1928, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late George F. and Mary U. (Lough) Reissig.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Michael Reissig.
A U.S. Navy Korean War veteran, George was a graduate of West Virginia University, where he obtained both his bachelor's and his master's degrees in environmental engineering.
He was a longtime engineer with PPG Industries, was an active handyman, always helping friends, relatives and neighbors, and was an active HAM radio enthusiast under the call sign K3GR.
He was the beloved brother of Joseph Reissig, Mary Haller, Patricia Reissig and Jeanette Fanelli; and brother-in-law of Roberta Reissig. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Reissig, who died Monday, May 9, 2011, will welcome friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.
