Ruth Cypher Irvin

Ruth K. (Cypher) Irvin, 83, of Saxonburg passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born Feb. 18, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Charles B. and Stella Hollenbeck Cypher.

Ruth was a homemaker.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.

Ruth was a pianist and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are her children, Robert Irvin of Saxonburg, Donna Tamburro of Verona, Dale Irvin of Ohio, Daniel Irvin of West Virginia and John Irvin Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; her sister, Betty Schiebel of Valencia; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Irvin; her parents; a brother, Charles B. Cypher Jr.; a sister, Dorothy Cypher Brill; and one daughter, Deborah Irvin.

<B>IRVIN</B> — Friends Ruth K. (Cypher) Irvin, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church in Cabot.
