Dominick P. Lapa, 86, of Franklin Park, formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary C. (Zappavigna) Lapa; father of Cathleen Thomas and Concetta (Robert) Slanders; grandfather of Michael Slanders, Jessica Slanders, Rebecca Slanders, Katherine Thomas and Adam Thomas; brother of Chester (Agnes) Lapa, Frank Lapa and Patricia (James) Straub; and brother-in-law of Anthony Maletta.

Mr. Lapa graduated in 1941 from Butler High School. He then proudly served with the Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines.

He retired in 1981 as the Pittsburgh zone manager of the GMC Truck and Coach Division of General Motors.
