Adelmo A. Ansani, 81, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born in Glassmere on July 5, 1929, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Elvira Maltagliati Ansani.

Employed in the maintenance department at Butler Armco, he retired in 1991 after 32 years.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Butler, the American Legion Post 945 of Harrisburg and the Sons of Italy.

He is survived by three sons, David A. Ansani Sr. of Butler, Richard C. Ansani of Butler and Adam C. Ansani of Butler; two daughters, Elvira M. Ansani of Prospect and Jessica L. Neal of Butler; three grandchildren, Theresa Ansani of Rimersburg, David Ansani Jr. of Butler and Sara Ansani of Butler; and three great-grandchildren, Destiny Walters, Labecca Walters and Aidan Ansani.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Ansani and Donald Ansani, and one brother, Aroldo “Box” Ansani.

<B>ANSANI</B> — Friends of Adelmo A. Ansani, who died Friday, May 20, 2011, will be received at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home Sunday at 3 p.m. to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.For more information, visit www.martinfh.net.
