John H. 'Jack' Schettler
John H. “Jack” Schettler, 70, of Mars died Tuesday evening at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.
Born in Pittsburgh, Nov. 1, 1940, he was the son of the late Edmund and Irene Barklum Schettler.
Jack was a steelworker for McConway and Tourley Steel in Lawrenceville and then worked as a custodian for the Mars School District.
Surviving are his wife, Carole Louis Schettler, who he married Dec. 11, 1965; two sons, John Schettler (Victoria) and David Schettler, both of Mars; two daughters, Jennifer Majors (Marc) of Murrysville and Beth Jackson (Nate) of Valencia; his grandchildren, Eden Enslen, Shelby Schettler, John “Jake” Schettler, Olivia Schettler, Jason Schettler, Verena Jackson, Nathaniel “Sparky” Jackson and Marc Majors Jr.; his great-granddaughter, Alyssa Starr; and a brother, Ronald Schettler of Portersville.
<B>SCHETTLER </B>— Friends of John H. “Jack” Schettler, who died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
