Helen M. Kriebel

Helen M. Kriebel, 89, of Chicora died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Chicora Medical Center following an illness.

Helen was born in Madison Township, Clarion County, May 17, 1922, the daughter of the late George S. Anderson and the late Bessie E. King Anderson.

She graduated from Union High School, Rimersburg. Helen was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Daria Ripper and her husband, Bob, of Chicora and Daryla Shakley and husband, Roger, of Lenexa, Va.; four grandchildren, Jack and Brett Ripper, and Keith and Erin Shakley; and one sister Lois McCoy of Dutch Hill, Parker.

She married Jacob H. Kriebel Aug. 2, 1941, and he died Sept. 14, 1988. She also is preceded in death by one sister, Lillian Siegel; and one brother, David Anderson.

<B>KRIEBEL</B> — Friends of Helen M. Kriebel, who died Thursday, June 2, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pat Sawaya, chaplain of Chicora Medical Center, officiating.Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department, Drawer F, Chicora, PA. 16025, or to the Chicora American Legion Post 642, Box 43, Chicora, PA 16025.For information, directions and to extend condolences go to www.steighnerfuneralhome.com.
