Benninger, Lumanog

Renea and Frank Lumanog

Renea Benninger and Frank Lumanog were united in marriage May 22 at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Gerald Lutz officiated. A reception followed at the East Butler Fire Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Linda Benninger of Butler and granddaughter of James Herold. The groom’s parents are from Southern California.

The maid of honor was the bride’s sister Megan Benninger of Butler. Bridesmaids included cousin of the bride Amy Toalston of Alliance, Ohio, and friends of the bride Robyn Welter, Shauna McChesney and Ginger Slater, all of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was the groom’s brother Lester Lumanog of North Carolina. Ushers included cousin of the bride Neil Toalston of Alliance, Ohio, brother of the bride Kevin Benninger of Butler and friends of the groom Stephen Mathew and Ray Holtman, both of California.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Butler High School and the Butler Vo-Tech cosmetology program. She is a hairstylist.

The bridegroom joined the Marines after graduation. Staff Sergeant Lumanog is employed as a prison guard.

A honeymoon in Hawaii was followed by a four-day road trip across the country to Southern California, where the couple will make their home at Camp Pendleton.
