Frederick W. Willard
Frederick “Fred” W. Willard, 78, of Butler passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born May 29, 1933, in Blawnox to Charles A. Willard and Mary Pauline Ploof Willard, who are deceased.
Willard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War as a corporal at the Army Chemical Center in Maryland.
He enjoyed his family and reading. Fred was a Hampton School Board member and a security guard for the Butler School District after retirement.
Willard is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Badali Willard, who he married April 11, 1953; two daughters, Kathleen (Don) Harris of Butler and Maureen (Chip) Keen of Fort Collins, Col.; two sons, Frederick L. (Maryjean) Willard of Miles City, Mont., and David W. (Linda) Willard of Shaler; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Gemas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Willard and Charles Willard.
<B>WILLARD</B> — Friends of Frederick “Fred” W. Willard, who passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, will be received at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
