Jerry E. McCall, 80, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Saxonburg, he was the son of Curtis G. and Olive I. Hemphill McCall.

Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked at PPG in Creighton and also as a lineman for North Pittsburgh Telephone, retiring in 1995.

He was a lifetime member of the Natrona-Harrison Township American Legion Post 48.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and going to his camp.

Surviving are his brother, Curtis H. McCall of Cabot; a sister, Nancy (Stanley) Paytas of Butler; nieces and nephews Linda (Dwight) Protzman of Saxonburg, James (Pam) Paytas of Fort Myers, Fla., Robert Paytas of Butler, Michelle Kildoo of Butler and Marsha Galan of Cabot; and great-nieces Jessica Protzman, Emily Protzman, Amanda Paytas and Ashley Paytas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his companion, Betty Fleck.

MCCALL — Friends of Jerry E. McCall, who died Thursday, June 9, 2011, will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at

Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Deborah Huffmyer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
