Centre City Summer Jam features free performances by local bands from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Aug. 19 in downtown Butler. Two area bands will perform each night and include The Way Back Home Band, Moonshine, Moon Drag and Full Circle. In addition to live music and other activities, there also will be a downtown marketplace with food, beverages and merchandise along with raffles and prizes. Concerts to Munch By, hosted by the Butler County Symphony Association, will feature NKC Trio, a flute, violin and cello group, from 12:15 until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday in the symphony office building, 259 S. Main St. The series continues Wednesdays through Aug. 17. Each week a musician or group of musicians perform a free half-hour concert. The free family summer concert series at Alameda Park, hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, offer music at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Carousel Shelter.
