Richard B. 'Dick' Birckbichler

Richard B. “Dick” Birckbichler, 66, of Karns City passed away early Friday morning at his newly moved into apartment in Butler of natural causes.

Born in Butler on June 4, 1945, he was the son of Pauline Geibel Birckbichler Parr of Ft. Myers, Fla., and the late Sylvester A. Birckbichler.

Dick was a member of Operating Engineers Local 926 of Atlanta.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Amber Birckbichler; two sons, Theodore and Douglas Birckbichler; two sisters, Peggy McCorkle and Teresa Troutmas; one brother, Louis Birckbichler; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Gillespie Birckbichler on Sept. 9, 2005, as well as two sons, William and Raymond.

<B>BIRCKBICHLER</B> — A memorial service for Richard B. “Dick” Birckbichler, who died Friday, June 17, 2011, will be held July 9 at 2 p.m. in First United Methodist Church of Butler. (No public visitation at Dick’s request.)Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association at the chapter of the donor’s choice.Funeral arrangements by <B>Buzard Funeral Home</B> of Eau Claire.
