8:56 p.m. July 8 — Samuel Drake, 24, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence after his car rolled over and hit a stop sign at Route 8 and Pepperland Boulevard. Police said when the car rolled back on its wheels, Drake tried to drive away. Instead, he stopped to call a tow truck.Police also cited Drake for hit-and-run and reckless driving.
12:46 a.m. July 2 — Brandon Adams, 25, of Freeport was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Main Street. Police report Adams' blood work showed he had a 0.09 percent blood alcohol content and traces of marijuana. The state minimum level for DUI is 0.08 percent. His passenger, Neil Shearer, 18, of Cabot was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
6:20 p.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Thomas Pappas, 26, of Lyndora struck the rear of a car driven by Corey Roche, 29, of Butler on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. Trista Sholes, 25, of Butler, a passenger in the SUV, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.2:21 a.m. Tuesday — Sandra Lee Miller, 40, of Millvale was charged with harassment, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly punched Karen Ann Pfennigwerth, 44, of Butler in the head and face at 120 Roper Lane in Oakland Township. Police report finding Miller having marijuana and a glass pipe in her possession.2:21 a.m. Tuesday — A male juvenile, age unavailable, of Freedom in Beaver County was charged with possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on East Main Street in Evans City.5:47 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Lauren Mayhue, 25, of New Brighton in Beaver County hit a guard rail along a wet Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.8:45 p.m. July 8 — A digital camera was found along Old Plank Road near the entrance to Butler County Community College in Butler Township. To claim the camera, call police at 724-284-8100.
Monday — The Iron Bridge Restaurant in Springfield Township reported an attempted burglary occurring between 12:30 and 1 a.m. Electrical cords to lighting at the rear of the restaurant were found cut.Monday — Christine Gonzalez of Springfield Township reported the theft of a copper ring from her residence at 238 Veterans Road between July 11 and 18.4 p.m. July 10 — Paul H. Baer, 91, and Steven E. Black, 55, both of Mercer, were charged with harassment following an incident on Springfield Church Road in Pine Township. Black received cuts to the right side of his face and nose. Baer received cuts to his hand.
