Milan Shedio
Milan Michael “Mike” Shedio, 76, of Butler passed away Thursday at 4:04 p.m. in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born in Butler to the late Mary and Mike Shedio.
He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler, Highfield Community Association, Butler Moose Lodge 64 and the Legion of the Moose.
Mike honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Mike worked for Eisler Nurseries, Pullman Standard and Trinity Industries.
He enjoyed hunting, bowling, playing horseshoes, gardening and socializing with his family and friends.
Mike married Janet Balog on July 18, 1964, and this summer would have made their 47th wedding anniversary.
Mike is survived by his loving spouse Janet; one sister, Susan J. Shedio of Butler; his nephew, John Shedio and his wife, Susan, of Renfrew; his niece, Patricia Edwards and her husband, Murray, of Lakeland, Fla.; his niece, Jacque Chambers and her husband, Mike, of Winter Haven, Fla; his nephew, Douglas Balog and his wife, Susan, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; his niece, Rebecca Puz and her husband, Matthew, of Darien, Ill.; his nephew, Stephen Balog and his wife, Susan, of Cranberry Township; and a number of great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and sister in law.
<B>SHEDIO</B> — Friends of Milan Michael “Mike” Shedio, who died Thursday, June 23, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson- Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev.
