Dorothy M. Kepple, 90, of Butler, formerly of Crafton, passed away Thursday under the care of the Chicora Medical Center and the VNA Hospice, with her family by her side.

She was born March 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith Wendt Herrmann.

Dorothy was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

She worked in the printing department of Fisher Scientific for 25 years, retiring in 1984.

She enjoyed painting, bowling, playing cards, sewing and traveling with her friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Mary Ann) Sivak of Butler, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Skarada of McKees Rocks and Mrs. Earl (Deborah) Brown of Crescent; four sons, John Kepple and his wife, Diane, of Russell, Warren County, Robert Kepple and his wife, Deborah, of McKees Rocks, Richard Kepple and his wife, Judith, of Russell and Gregory Kepple and his wife, Carol, of McKees Rocks; two brothers, Frederick Herrmann and his wife, Paula, of Greentree and Paul Herrmann and his wife, Margaret, of Florida; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Stewart of Florida; 15 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

<B>KEPPLE </B>— There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Dorothy M. Kepple, who died Thursday, June 23, 2011, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates mausoleum.Members of the St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:35 a.m. Thursday to recite the rosary.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the VNA Hospice of Butler.Arrangements are under the direction of the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, Butler, and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
