Leslie C. 'Les' McNamee Sr.

McNamee Sr.

Leslie C. “Les” McNamee Sr., 67, of Zelienople died Sunday at Ellwood City Hospital.

Mr. McNamee was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Springfield, Mass.

He was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople, and was an honorary member of the Zelienople Volunteer Fire Department.

He was affectionately known as the kind, white-haired gentleman who sold tickets for the VFD's annual car raffle at the umbrella stand on Main Street.

Mr. McNamee retired as an armed security guard at NexTier Bank in 2004.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra C. (Kugel) McNamee, who he married, Aug. 17, 1978; two sons, Leslie C. (Hilda) McNamee Jr. of Fort Hood, Texas, and Mark A. McNamee of New Brighton; two grandsons, Tyler McNamee and Liam McNamee; three brothers, Harold, Bruce and Earl McNamee; and three sisters, Carol Hilts, and Judy and Claire McNamee.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Roy McNamee.

<B>MCNAMEE </B>— The family of Leslie C. “Les” McNamee Sr., who died Sunday, June 26, 2011, will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Reformed Church, 314-320 E.
