Sandra L. Smith, 67, of Butler died Monday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Butler, Feb. 18, 1944, a daughter of the late Lester Brown and Naomi Gallagher Brown-Rock.

Sandy had been a production worker at Magnetics, a division of Spang & Co., in East Butler, and retired in 2000 after 22 years. She had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.

Surviving are her husband, Leo A. Smith, who she married Oct. 27, 1979; two children, Ron Rock and Anita Waxter, both of Pittsburgh; three stepchildren, Linda Mamula of Clinton, Ohio, Bradley Smith of Butler and Craig Smith of Grand Prairie, Texas; a stepbrother, Stephen Rock of Butler; a half-sister, Robin Robison and her husband, John, of Lyndora; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Steve Rock; two stepsons; and a brother.

<B>SMITH</B> — Friends of Sandra L. Smith, who died Monday, July 11, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Steven V. Neff, pastor of the St. Paul Catholic Church, will officiate. Private inurnment will take place Saturday at Calvary Cemetery, Butler.If desired, memorial donations could be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
