Michael F. Ramsey
Michael F. Ramsey, 67, of Emlenton died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a brief illness.
Mr. Ramsey was born in Grove City on June 9, 1944. He was the son of Osamar and Gizella Tiche Allen and Walter Ramsey.
Mike grew up in Boyers and was a resident of Emlenton since 1975.
A 1962 graduate of Moniteau High School, Mike held an engineering/inspection certificate in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Mike retired in 2004 following 30 years of employment as a bridge inspector/engineer with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. One of Mike's first inspection assignments was the I-80 bridge in Emlenton as it was under construction.
He was a social member of the Cherry Valley VFW and the Eagles Club of Oil City.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, billiards, wine making, gardening, gambling in Las Vegas, berry picking with his grandchildren and the company of his family and friends. Mike most especially looked forward to the company of his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Mary E. Gladd Ramsey, who he married in Eau Claire on June 13, 1964; a son, Steven M. Ramsey of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Kimberly D. Saltrick and her husband, Keith, of Bermuda Run, N.C.; three grandchildren, Ramsey, Greta and Harrison Saltrick, all of Bermuda Run; four sisters, Wava Ramsey Morgan of Mesquite, Texas, Elizabeth Allen Grossman and her husband, Bob, of Butler, Daisy Allen Waldenmyer and her husband, Richard, of Georgia and SuZee Allen Beblo and her husband, Alan, of Cabot; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather and father.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lori Danielson, pastor of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church, officiating.
