Edward C. Reott Sr.
Edward C. Reott Sr., 80, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Butler, Nov. 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Florian P. and Martha E. Green Reott.
He retired from Marmon Keystone in 1984 after 23 years.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, the Third Degree Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post 117 of Butler and the Happy Hunters Club. He was a life member of the R.C. Men's Club as well as a life member of the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria M. Shuler Mohan Reott; three sons, Edward C. “Chuck” Reott Jr. of Butler, Gary J. Reott and his wife, Brenda, of Butler and Jeffrey L. Reott of Butler; one stepson, Leo D. Mohan and his wife, Lou Ann, of Butler; four stepdaughters, Shirley Angert and her husband, Frank, of Butler, Nancy Ratcliff and her husband, Larry, of Butler, Donna Johns and her husband, Larry, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Janet McIntire of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Anna Nagy, of Butler; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Kirk Reott, who passed away in 1984; two infant sons; two brothers, and three sisters.
<B>REOTT</B> — Friends of Edward C. Reott Sr., who died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.Members of the Women's Council of St. Peter's will meet at the church at 9:40 a.m. Friday to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
