Edward H. “Gumball” Butler IV, 34, of Prospect passed away at 6:10 a.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born April 17, 1977, in Butler to Edgar H. Butler III and Carol (Zapp) Butler.

Ed graduated from Butler High School and then attended ITT Tech, receiving an associates degree.

He worked at the McKesson Corp.

Ed enjoyed outdoor activities, family and friends.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Gina, who he married Sept. 9, 2006; his parents, Edgar H. and Carol (Zapp) Butler; his in-laws, Lenny and Diana Zirnsak; one brother, Jason Butler; four brother-in-laws, Michael Helmstaedter, J.R. Holland, Michael Zirnsak and John Zirnsak; two sisters, Ashley (Butler) Helmstaedter and Amber (Butler) Holland; and one sister-in-law, Rachele Zirnsak.

<B>BUTLER</B> — Friends of Edward H. “Gumball” Butler IV, who died Saturday, July 30, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will follow Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kurt Knobel of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church officiating.Memorials are suggested to the Ed Butler Charitable Fund, First Niagara Bank, c/o Brad Dolhi, 360 Center Ave., Butler, PA 16001.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
