Ruth M. Hilderbrand, 85, of Fenelton died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington, following a short illness.

She was born on the family farm, Nov. 22, 1925, to the late Harry T. Hilderbrand and Marie E. McGrady Hilderbrand

A brother, Russell Hilderbrand, is deceased.

She had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory in Butler until the plant closed. She then worked at the egg plant in East Butler for four years until retiring in 1990. She grew Christmas trees and pumped oil wells on the family farm for 25 years.

She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish, Fenelton/Coylesville, where she was a member of the Marion Guild of the church.
