Anthony J. 'Tony' Kubit

Anthony J. “Tony” Kubit, 80, of Erie, formerly of the Southside and the Herron Hill sections of Pittsburgh, died unexpectedly Friday.

He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene (Amity); dear father of Arlene Kubit D.M.D., Anthony (Lori Kaul) Kubit II and Victor (Kimberly) Kubit M.D.; grandfather of Trey, Ashley, Joshua and Zachary; and brother of Charles “Chuck” (Karen) and the late Joseph C., Bernard J. and Leonard Kubit.

Tony served his country during the Korean War as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.

<B>KUBIT </B>— Friends of Anthony J. “Tony” Kubit, who died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Warchol Funeral Home</B>, 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Polish Hill.
