Darland Errera Sr.

Darland P. “Paul” Errera Sr., 84, of Frampton Road, Harrisville, passed away Thursday.

He was born in Forestville on Dec. 10, 1926, to Frank Errera and June (Bell) Errera.

He was a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather. He had lived in the area for all his lifetime.

He retired from Sharon Steel after 25 years of service where he was a laborer and after retirement he worked for Arblaster Construction of Slippery Rock.

He was a member of Forestville United Methodist Church in Forestville.

He was a member of Grove City Lodge 603 F&AM, New Castle Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine of Erie and a 64-year member of the Harrisville American Legion Post 852.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in Germany.

He married Ruth M. (Weiss) Errera on June 23, 1949. She survives at their residence.

He also is survived by one daughter, Gaye L. Mack and her husband, Terry, of Harrisville; one son, D. Paul Errera Jr. and his wife, Ginger, of Pulaski; grandchildren, Jill Errera, Stephanie Clem, Jason Rudzik and T.J. Mack; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Drea Hubenthal of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Nicholas Daubenspeck and Josh Rudzik; one sister, Betty Blom; and two brothers, Frank “Cubby” Errera and Orril “Bubbles” Errera.

<B>ERRERA</B> — Friends of Darland P. “Paul” Errera Sr., who died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, may call at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Barbara J.
