Donald G. Reeves
Donald G. Reeves, 78, of Chicora passed away Monday at the Butler VNA Hospice.
He was born in Oakland Township, Jan. 9, 1933, to the late Major Reeves Sr. and Emily (Coleman) Reeves.
Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he previously was an usher.
He retired from Dennis Filges Metal Fabricating. He also worked in the tool and die setter department of Pullman Standard Car Manufacturing until its closing.
Don enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce C. (Filges) Reeves, who he married Oct. 22, 1960; two sons, Kevin Reeves Sr. and his wife, Susan, of Chicora and Mark Reeves of Butler; two daughters, Karen Fencil and her husband, Scott, of West Sunbury and Kelli Rensel and her husband, Lonnie, of Butler; six grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Christopher and Matthew Reeves, Kiersten Fencil, and Colin and Emily Rensel; two brothers, Major Reeves Jr. of Ridgway, Elk County, and Charles Reeves and his wife, Mary Ann, of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Joan Burr of Saxonburg; one sister-in-law, Mary Susan Reeves of Chicora; 10 nieces; and four nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Reeves of Chicora.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman officiating.
