Ralph V. Warheit
Ralph V. Warheit, 87, of Butler died at 12:59 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Butler, the son of the late Lewis Clifford and Anna Marie (Teitt) Warheit.
Ralph was a member of the St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
He retired from Pullman Standard as a supervisor of the tool and dye department.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, having served during World War II. He was a life member of the VFW Post 249 and the American Legion Post 117.
He enjoyed gardening, dancing, bowling, coin collecting and stock car racing.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (Leech) Huf Warheit, who he married Sept. 8, 2000; his son, Rick Warheit and his wife, Suzanne, of Butler; his grandsons, Craig and his wife, Maria, Warheit of Reston, Va., and Dana and his wife, Jennifer, Warheit of Hyattsville, Md.; a great-grandson, Benjamin Warheit of Reston, Va.; two stepsons, Joseph (Cherie) Huf and Gerald (Sonya) Huf, all of Butler; two stepdaughters, Cheri (Wayne) Weiland and Kirsten Huf, all of Butler; and a number of step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Eldora Fay (Bollinger) Warheit, who died June 5, 1997; two sisters; and four brothers.
<B>WARHEIT</B> — Friends of Ralph V. Warheit, who died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler.
