GLENWILLARD — Two boys reported missing have been found and rescued after police near Pittsburgh determined both fell into a barge while fishing along the Ohio River.

Nine-year-old Noah Evans and 12-year-old Noah Winniewicz told a Pittsburgh television station they were fishing and walking near the Dashields Lock and Dam a few miles west of Pittsburgh in Crescent Township when Winniewicz slipped and fell into the docked barge. Evans fell in trying to help his friend get out.

The boys were reported missing about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and found about three hours later by the Crescent River Rescue teams. The boys were “chilled” but otherwise reported to be fine.

PITTSBURGH — Authorities in Pittsburgh have shut down what they believe was an illegal slaughterhouse run out of the basement of a man's home.Pittsburgh police say they seized 15 chickens from the blood-covered basement of a home in the West End neighborhood on Wednesday.Officers served the warrant at the man's home after visiting the house earlier this month in an unrelated incident.Investigators say the man told them he feeds his family with the animals, but they say he may have been selling what he killed.

WILKES-BARRE — Flood watches remain in effect for much of flood-weary eastern Pennsylvania, where rising waters had some people fearing for their homes for a fourth time in a month.An area stretching from Philadelphia north to the New York border is forecast to get more rain today and concerns over runoff prompted flood warnings.Some residents in Harveys Lake were evacuated Wednesday after water ran over the Twin Lakes dam.The Valley Stream Mobile Park in Luzerne County had water from a nearby creek rushing into the streets Wednesday. It was the fourth time residents have seen flooding since late August, when Hurricane Irene hit the area.Five to seven inches of rain fell in Columbia County, again inundating areas hit hard by the record flooding from Tropical Storm Lee.

PHILADELPHIA — A woman injured when a member of the band Fishbone dove from a Philadelphia stage, breaking her skull and collarbone, will soon have her day in court.A federal judge has upheld the negligence suit filed by Kimberly Myers of Voorhees, N.J., against the band, lead singer Angelo “Dr. Madd Vibe” Moore, the band's manager, and the World Café which is operated by the University of Pennsylvania.The case is set for trial Oct. 24.The judge ruled last week that Silverback Artist Management knew Moore had engaged in stage diving and had at least once before injured an audience member.Myers said she was knocked to the ground during the Feb. 23, 2010, concert at World Café.

UNIONTOWN — Police say Michael Suich, 43, was arrested and will be arraigned on criminal charges of prohibited offensive weapons, recklessly endangering another person and manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, a Pittsburgh television station reported.The incident began when a school security officer came to Suich’s house to talk about truancy issues regarding his son, and that prompted an argument between Suich and his wife. State police executed a search warrant and investigators say they found explosive powder, a pyrotechnic fuse and other chemical materials.Suich admitted to having bomb-making instructions from the Internet, according to the criminal report.
