Hilliard

Elizabeth L. Hilliard, 81, of Butler died early Monday morning.

Born Nov. 22, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Dupeck) Kalina.

She was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed going to fairs, liked countryside rides in the car and loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving are her son, David Hilliard and his wife, Darlene, of Rochester; a daughter, Marian Frank and her husband, Gary, of Slippery Rock; three grandchildren, Lori Lynn Beachem and her husband, Travis, Thomas M. Hilliard and Emily Hilliard; two great-grandsons, Brock and Trent Beachem; and two sisters, Patricia Rock and her husband, Eugene, and Betty Graham, all of Butler. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Hilliard, who she married Sept. 14, 1948, and who died March 12, 2010; a granddaughter, Joni Whitmire; a sister, Eleanor Ball; and a brother, John Kalina.
