SAN MARTIN, Calif. — Tiger Woods has his first major endorsement since his downfall two years ago, announcing a deal with Rolex to be one of its ambassadors.

Woods had lost five major endorsements in the two years since he was exposed for serial adultery and eventually divorced. He previously had a watch deal with Tag Heuer, which dropped him two months ago.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although it is believed to be longer than five years.

NEW YORK — Fox analyst Tim McCarver will miss the first two games of the AL championship series because of a medical procedure and will be replaced by former Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona.McCarver will have a “minor heart-related procedure” later this week, the network said. He's expected to rejoin announcer Joe Buck for Game 3 next Tuesday.Francona is free after the Red Sox announced last Friday they would not pick up his contract option after eight seasons and two championships. Boston blew a nine-game lead in the AL wild-card race, going 7-20 in September.

UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio — Olympic gymnastics champion Paul Hamm pleaded not guilty to assault and two other misdemeanor charges in Ohio.Hamm is accused of kicking a taxi driver in suburban Columbus, damaging a cab window and refusing to pay a $23 fare. He was heard on video telling police he’d had about eight drinks.
