Charles L. 'Chuck' Twentier
Charles L. “Chuck” Twentier, 74, of West Sunbury passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 23, 1936, in Center Township, the son of the late Lawrence and Betra (Grieder) Twentier.
Chuck retired from MHF Inc. in November 1999 and had worked as a truck driver for various Butler area companies.
He was a life member of the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department, where he had been chief and held various offices.
Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and flea marketing. He loved being “Pap” and spending time with his grandchildren and the companionship of his dogs and cats.
Surviving are a son, Charles R. (Marlene) Twentier of Fenelton; two daughters, Mary Jo (Robert) Ivonowski of Butler and Terri (Ronald) Ayers of Evans City; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two sisters, Sarah McFadden and June Twentier, both of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Cerita “Ruth” (Hurley) Twentier, who died May 22, 2011; a daughter, Kim Lunn; a son-in-law, Robert Lunn; and his twin brother, Henry Twentier.
