McKinney

David C. McKinney, 75, of Rimersburg passed away Wednesday at Clarion Hospital.

He was born in East Brady, July 9, 1936, the son of David G. and Mabel I. (Sigworth) McKinney.

David lived in the East Brady area all his life and graduated from East Brady High School.

He honorably served the country as a mechanic in the U.S. Army and received the Good Conduct Medal.

David worked at RFI Energy as a mechanic for 30 years and retired as maintenance foreman in 2003.

He was a member of the Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club.

His legacy will be carried on with love by his wife of 52 years, Virginia (Kamerer) McKinney; a son, William David McKinney and his wife, Lori, of Rimersburg; a daughter, Kimberly McKinney of Penn Hills; grandchildren, Alyssa and Curtis McKinney; a brother, Richard McKinney and wife, Pat, of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Sara Summerville of Rimersburg and Donna Steiner and husband, Dean, of Sligo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gene McKinney and Tom McKinney; and sisters, Ruth Doris McKinney and Barbara McKinney.

<B>MCKINNEY </B>— At the request of David C. McKinney, who died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, there will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held later. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery, Chicora.Memorial contributions may be made in David's honor to the Rimersburg Volunteer Fire Department, 108 S.
