Jay D. Ford
Jay D. Ford, 35, of Polk passed away Wednesday at home after an extended illness.
Born April 20, 1976, in Grove City, he was the son of Kenneth “Buzz” Ford Jr. and Ella Mae Sidley Ford.
Jay graduated from Moniteau High School in 1994 and had been employed at GE in Grove City as a machinist.
He married Stephanie Stevenson Sept. 9, 2006, and she survives.
A member of the Boyers Sportsman Association, Jay was the all-around outdoorsman. He loved to deer hunt, with rifle or a bow. He spent a lot of time in the summer fishing with his family and friends so he could have his famous fish fries at his garage.
Jay’s sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
His twin boys Crosby and Garrett, were the loves of his life, as he loved to spend time with them and play. He liked to garden also. He always had a huge garden, and all his friends and family enjoyed the vegetables he grew.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are his twin boys, Crosby and Garrett at home; a brother, Chad Ford of Mercer; his maternal grandfather, George Sidley of Harrisville; his uncle, Larry Sidley and his wife, Kim, of Butler; his aunt, Ruth Welton and her husband, Richard, of Kennerdell; a niece, Shantasia Kirchell; and a nephew, Bode Stevenson of Jackson Center. Many family members and lots of friends also survive as well as his two beloved dogs, Sprocket and Willy.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Kenneth Ford and Irene Desko; and his maternal, grandmother Ruby Sidley.
FORD — The family of Jay D. Ford, who died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, will receive friends at
Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Sunday at 3 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Saul, from First Church of God in Greenville, officiating.
