John R. 'Bob' Forster
John R. “Bob” Forster, 73, of Butler died Tuesday at his home.
Born March 18, 1938, in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late John F. Forster and Grace A. (Vogt) Forster.
He was an Army veteran and retired from Armco.
Mr. Forster was a member of the St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
He enjoyed collecting and rebuilding old tractors. He also enjoyed farming and his horse, Coco, his cat, Boo Boo, and his dog, Vicky. He liked Roy Rodgers and Hank Williams.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca (Gall) Forster, who he married Oct. 18. 1986; a brother, William F. (Sylvia) Forster of Leechburg; four sisters, Mary Ann (Louis) Walter of Lower Burrell, Eleanor Forster and Margretta Forester, both of Cowansville, and Lois (Don) Beckett of Sarver; his god children, Angie, Jake, David and Natalie Forster; his foster god child, Hermano Pedro of South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
<B>FORSTER </B>— Friends of John R. “Bob” Forster, who died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B>, Cowansville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler, with Father Gerald Lutz officiating.
