Joseph Charles O'Donnell

Joseph Charles O'Donnell, 89, of Portersville and also of West Decatur in Boggs Township, Clearfield County, died Wednesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Clearfield, Clearfield County, Jan. 20, 1922, he was the son of Terrance O'Donnell and Ida Mae West O'Donnell

He married Mary Jane Krupelak on March 14, 1943.

Mr. O'Donnell was a retired truck driver. He was a union representative for F.A.S.H., the Fraternal Association for Special Haulers, until his retirement in the early 1980s.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

He was a Baptist, and he was an avid sportsmen and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane O'Donnell at home; three sons, Gerald L. O'Donnell (Glenda) of Portersville, Edward E. O'Donnell (Susan) of Portersville and Joseph C. O'Donnell Jr. of Portersville; and a daughter, Linda Grange (Thomas) of Limestone, N.Y. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Terrance, Kelly, Scott, Joanne and Michelle; and a great-granddaughter, Emme Sue Mrozek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Mullen; and two brothers, Preston and James O'Donnell.

<B>O'DONNELL </B>— Services for Joseph Charles O'Donnell, who died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, will be at <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, at 3 p.m. Saturday. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 2 until time of service at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Mountville Cemetery, Perry Township, Lawrence County.
