Magdalena Vesztergom

Magdalena Vesztergom of Butler, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Feb. 28, 1927, in Hungary, she was the daughter of Sandor Lukacs and Szofia Monor Lukacs.

She was a homemaker.

She attended the Community Alliance Church and enjoyed baking, cooking and crocheting.

Surviving are her husband, John Vesztergom, who she married June 22, 1947; two sons, John Vesztergom of North Huntingdon and Laszlo (Joanne) Vesztergom of Sarver; three daughters, Theresa (Joseph) Brandt of Monroeville, Anna (David) Dickson of Butler and Magdalena Vesztergom of Butler; a sister, Ylona Holczer of Pittsburgh; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Michael Brandt and Derek Dickson and one daughter-in-law, Jane Vesztergom.

VESZTERGOM — Friends of Magdalena Vesztergom, who died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at

Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Krajacic officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
