Edwin H. Montag
Edwin H. Montag, 93, of Cabot died Tuesday at UPMC Presbyterian.
Born in Great Belt, Jefferson Township, Nov. 8, 1917, he was the son of Charles F. and Clara Yeahnig Montag.
He holds a life membership with the VFW Post 7122 in Floral City, Fla.
Mr. Montag was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Inverness, Fla., where he served nine years as elder.
Surviving is his wife, Elinor Parise Montag, who he married May 29, 1992; a sister, Martha Hellstrom of Fayetteville, N.Y.; two stepsons, Frank J. Parise of Greenville and William A. Parise of Rochester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Williams Montag, who died Aug. 12, 1990; his brother, Edgar of Bairdford, Allegheny County; and his three sisters, Marie Riemer of Cabot, Florence Gemeinhart of Homestead and Helen Abraham of Butler.
<B>MONTAG</B> — Friends of Edwin H. Montag, who died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
