Jeanette Marie Schaffner Napleton

On Tuesday, at the age of 95, Jeanette Napleton passed away peacefully at the home of her son, John, in Falls Church, Va.

Born Aug. 30, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Leo Schaffner and Pauline “Lillie” Moniot; the beloved wife of the late Alan Napleton; the devoted and loving mother of Barbara Secunda and Carol Green of Butler, Mary Cooney of Maryland, Alan Napleton of Texas, John Napolitano of Virginia and Peggy Burrier of Texas; and the loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette (Nettie) Napleton, her three sisters and two of her brothers. A surviving brother, Norman Schaffner, lives in Texas.

Jeanette Napleton will be lovingly missed by her family, friends and all who have touched her life. She is remembered as a very loving and giving person with a strong affection for nature's animals and plants, especially birds and flowers.

<B>NAPLETON</B> — The family of Jeanette Napleton, who died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, will receive friends at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.The St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Saturday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
