Walker, Yount

Rebecca Walker and Matthew Yount were united in marriage Aug. 12 at Calvary Baptist Church in Butler. Pastor Joel Ward officiated. A reception followed at the same location.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Kathleen Walker of Butler.

Parents of the bridegroom are Carl and Louise Yount of Conway.

Serving as maid of honor was Amy Coleman of Valencia. Bridesmaids were Colleen Sexton of Cleveland, Tenn., Cara Ward of Butler and Jodie Osborne of Cabot. Junior bridesmaids were Leanna Sexton of Cleveland and Allison Coleman of Valencia. Flower girls were Kathleen, Lindsay and Claire Yount of Odessa, Fla.

Serving as best man was Jeffrey Halliday of Farmville, Va. Groomsmen were Michael Yount of Odessa, Aaron Coleman of Valencia and Adam Woody of Gaithersburg, Md. Junior groomsmen were Chase Sexton of Cleveland and Reed Coleman of Valencia. Ring bearer was Aidan Yount of Odessa.

The bride is a 1985 graduate of Calvary Academy in Butler and a 1988 graduate of Massillon Baptist College in Massillon, Ohio. She is a teacher at Calvary Academy.

The bridegroom graduated in 1995 from Freedom High School, in 2000 from Edinboro (Pa.) University and in 2002 from the University of Pittsburgh. He is employed as a supervisor at the United States Steel Corporation Archives.

After a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, the couple is making their home in Butler.
