12:22 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Lauren D. Lee, 57, of Butler and a car driven by Edna M. Kerr, 69, of Butler collided at the intersection of North Monroe and East Brady streets. No injuries were reported.1:07 a.m. Thursday — Jeffrey M. Kline, 24, of Butler was arrested under suspicion of DUI, DUI highest rate of alcohol and careless driving following a traffic stop on New Castle Street.

3:30 p.m. Oct. 26 — James A. Cogley, 33, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after state police, conducting surveillance on a Butler Township residence, confronted at a nearby gas station the occupants of a vehicle seen leaving the residence. Cogley, a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly had a needle and a glass crack pipe in his pockets and admitted ownership of a small amount of suspected crack cocaine found on the ground near the car.
