Grace McNees

Grace McNees, 90, of Slippery Rock, recently of the Butler YWCA, passed away Tuesday at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Albert H. Ryder and the late Christina (Mathieson) Ryder.

Grace was a member of the Muddycreek Presbyterian Church.

She and her late husband, Russell, owned and operated Etna Springs Roller Rink for many years.

Surviving are her brother, Raymond “Red” (Nancy) Ryder of Slippery Rock; her niece, Kimberly (Larry) Moses and their children, Maggie and Molly; four nephews, Brian (Marsha), Randy (Rhonda), Bradley (Beth) and Michael (Debra) Ryder; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell McNees, who died Nov. 5, 1976; an infant sister, and three brothers.

MCNEES — Private service and burial will be held for Grace McNees, who died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011.Contributions may be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001 or to to YWCA Personal Care Home, 120 W.
