Margaret 'Peg' Kuba

Margaret “Peg” Kuba of Hampton Township died Wednesday morning at the Vincentian Home in McCandless Township, on her 89th birthday.

Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Nyjda Prohinsky.

A homemaker, Mrs. Kuba was a member of the St. Kilian Church, the Christian Mothers and Women’s Guild at the church.

Surviving are a daughter, Rosemarie Acon of Hampton Township; and two sons, Charles A. Kuba and his wife, Elsie, of Hampton Township and Raymond E. Kuba and his wife, Deborah, of Mars. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony C. Kuba, who she married Jan. 29, 1939, and who died June 24, 1996; a daughter; a brother; and two sisters.

KUBA — Friends of Margaret “Peg” Kuba, who died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, will be received at

McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday in the St. Kilian Church, 212 Hook St., Mars, with Father Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
