Milton John Tokash

Milton John Tokash, 87, passed on Oct. 8 at the Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community in Cranberry Township with his family and devoted staff by his side.

He was born June 28, 1924, the son of the late John Andrew Tokosh (Tokos) and Anna Gyomber.

Milton was a 1946 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Heinz Chapel Choir.

He retired from IBM Marketing, Akron, Ohio, after 30 years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed traveling especially if in a motor home and golfing with his wife and friends, and he still took joy in boating despite a few memorable mishaps. Milt was a scholar and a gentleman.

Milt is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah (Battaglia) Tokash. He was a cherished father to his children, David Tokash, Marla Bissett, Deidre Fallavollita and Jonna Heffernan, and to Sarah's children, Regina Miller, Carol Viktorin and Dr. David Battaglia. He was the loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren, Victoria and Nicholas Tokash; MacKenzie and Devin Bissett; Westley, David and Rachel Fallavollita; Jenna, Rebecca and Madeline Heffernan; R. Jay, Charlie and Roberta Miller; Kirby and Erin Viktorin; and Tony and Julia Battaglia.

In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda; one daughter, Rhonda Neff; and one sister Mildred Parker.

<B>TOKASH</B> — A memorial Mass for Milton John Tokash, who died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. An inurnment service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in North Lawn Cemetery Chapel, 4927 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local chapter of the Salvation Army or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
