Lillian Leith Shaffer

Lillian (Leith) Shaffer, 100, formerly of Lumar Village in Butler, now of Cabot, passed away Thursday at 10:55 p.m. at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

She was born Sept. 14, 1911 in Butler to the late George Leith and Jeanne (Hill) Leith.

Mrs. Shaffer was a member of the North Street Christian Church and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Shaffer is survived by three nieces, Nancy Bonnett of Butler, Sally Beals and her husband, Robert, of North Lauderdale, Fla., and Maxine Rapp and her husband, William, of Renfrew; and one nephew, Charles Leith and his wife, Nancy, of Weatherford, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Shaffer, who she married on Jan. 1, 1940 and who passed away on April 7, 1994; one sister, Frances Shawkey; and two brothers, William S. Leith and Harold G. Leith.

SHAFFER — There will be no public visitation for Lillian Leith Shaffer, who died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011. Funeral services will be at the Chapel of Devotion at Butler County Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor Bob Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating. Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion, Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to North Street Christian Church, 226 W.
