Mardelle O. Arnold
Mardelle O. Arnold, 90, of Zelienople passed away Saturday at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.
Born June 17, 1921, in Tarentum, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Leona Barbiaux Arnold Sr.
Miss Arnold was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights.
She attended Tarentum Public School until her family moved to Natrona Heights, where she graduated from Har-Brack High School, now Highlands High School, in 1939.
Miss Arnold worked for the former Tarentum Paper Mill and the Baird Print Shop as a proof reader.
In 1967, she moved from the area. Upon her return, she worked in the business office for Highlands High School, retiring in 1988.
She enjoyed reading, watching the 1960s sitcoms on TV, baking, big band music and especially enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Charlotte A. Massung of Ellwood City; her brother, Edward F. (Joan) Arnold Jr. of Leominster, Mass.; two nieces, Natalie (Richard) Piermarini of Leominster, Mass., and Melissa Weaver of Ellwood City; a nephew, Mark (Karen) Weaver of Harrisburg; and her great-niece, Ashley Weaver of Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Brian Arnold, and brother-in-law, Frank Massung.
