Linda Scheckler

Linda Scheckler, 70, of Polk, Venango County, passed away Friday at her home.

Born April 2, 1941, in Boyers, she was the daughter Samuel Tiche and Sophia Szalai Tiche.

Linda graduated from Moniteau High School.

She was married to Richard Scheckler, who passed away May 20, 2003.

Mrs. Scheckler was a devoted housewife. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her nieces and nephews also were a very important part of her life. She enjoyed gardening and spending time outside.

She was a member of the Echo Club in Wesley, the group would meet once a month with neighbors and friends to visit and catch up. Linda attended the First Baptist Church in Grove City.

Surviving are stepchildren, William Scheckler and his wife, Deborah, of Shippenville, Frederick Workman of Iowa, Debby Boyle and her husband, Ron, of Wisconsin, Joni Cook of Washington, Darla Kramer and her husband, Ron, of Wisconsin, Diana Rush and her husband, Philip, of Wisconsin and Michael Scheckler and his wife, Carrie, of Wisconsin; three sisters Sarah Cornelius of Boyers, Bonnie Leonard and her husband, Ernest, in the state of California and Lydia Tiche of Slippery Rock; two brothers, Samuel Tiche of Boyers and Michael Tiche of Hillards; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Dave Cook.

<B>Scheckler </B>— The family of Linda Scheckler, who died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, will receive friends at the<B> Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville, from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Dave Johnson of the First Baptist Church officiating.
