Edna Mary Schuman, 92, of Zelienople, formerly of Cranberry Township and West View, died Monday afternoon at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony.

Born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Unks Sanders.

Edna had been a secretary for the Masonic Temple in Oakland.

She was a member of the Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township and was a member and past worthy matron of the North Hills Chapter 526, Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Magness and her husband, John, of Zelienople; three sons, Gary E. Schuman and his wife, Carol, David L. Schuman and his wife, Linda, and Richard R. Schuman and his wife, Helen, all of Cranberry Township; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Earl Schuman; a sister, Ruth DiMeola, and an infant brother.

SCHUMAN — Friends of Edna Mary Schuman, who died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, will be received at

McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ethan Magness, pastor of the Grace Episcopal Church of Slippery Rock, officiating. Burial will be in Dutilh Cemetery, Cranberry Township.Memorials may be made to the National Autism Association of Pennsylvania, P.O.
