David Occhibone

Occhibone

David Occhibone, 61, of Evans City passed away Friday at 1:30 p.m. at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born May 13, 1950, in New Castle to the late Nicholas Occhibone and Virginia Lambiase Occhibone.

Mr. Occhibone graduated from New Castle High School and Youngstown State University. He was a retired postal worker in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Occhibone was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. He belonged to Gospa Missions, and performed volunteer work for church ministries. He also served as a tour guide, traveling to Medjugorje, Italy, Jerusalem and Morocco. He was a Brother of the Roman Catholic Church.

David is survived by one daughter, Tasha Clarkson of Atlanta; two brothers, Nicholas Occhibone and Michael Occhibone and his wife, Frances; three sisters, Judith Cochran, Colleen Haun and her husband, John, and Donna Baldwin; one brother-in-law, James Cochran; nieces and nephews, Jamie Cochran, Kristie Krouse, Katina Soltis, Joseph Pitzulo, Ryan Baldwin, Autumn Baldwin, Michael-Vincent Occhibone and David Occhibone; one great-niece, Amber Ferrari; and five great-nephews, Brandon Ferrari, Austin Soltis, Dylan Soltis, Andrew Pitzulo and Cameron Pitzulo.

<B>OCCHIBONE</B> — Friends of David Occhibone, who died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Roman Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Members of the St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday to recite the rosary. A blessing and committal service will be at St. Vincent DePaul Parish, 1 Lucymont Drive, New Castle at 1 p.m.Entombment will take place in St. Lucy’s Cemetery in New Castle.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
