Russell P. 'Russ' Jones

Russell P. “Russ” Jones, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Mars, passed away peacefully Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Dec. 13, 1940, in Mars to Henry and Mary Jones.

Russ was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving our country proudly in Vietnam.

He was employed with Diebold Inc. for more than 30 years before retiring.

Russ was a longtime member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He enjoyed woodworking, photography and baking.

Russ will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Jones and Mabel Gordon; and brothers, Bob, Ross, Richard and Raymond Jones.

Russ is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Esther (Cunningham) Jones; his children, Colleen Jones and Tim Jones; a brother, Ralph (Esther) Jones; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Molinaro; sisters-in-law, Rita and Ruth Jones; canine companion, Liberty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Kelly Emch, the trauma and critical care teams and the SICU staff at Toledo Hospital for all their love and care given to Russ and his family during this difficult time.

<B>JONES</B> — The family of Russell P. “Russ” Jones, who died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, will receive guests from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church.
