Man charged with felony
GROVE CITY — A joint operation Wednesday involving the Grove City Police Task Force and agents from the Attorney General's Drug Task Force recovered 1,366 grams of synthetic marijuana and about $4,000 cash.
The synthetic marijuana recovered during the 6 p.m. warrant search of Broad Street Market, 327 N. Broad St., has an estimated street value of $17,000, according to a statement released by Grove City police.
The operator of the business, Ala Nassar, 27, of Sharpsville, was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
He was arraigned before District Judge Neil McEwen and placed in Mercer County Jail on $50,000 bail.
According to Grove City police, the business has been a source of complaints for several months.
The investigation is continuing.
